Our Story
The Great Lakes University of Kisumu (GLUK) Library was established to support the university’s commitment to academic excellence, research, and community development. From its inception, the library has played a central role in providing access to scholarly information resources that empower students, faculty, and researchers. Over the years, the library has evolved from a traditional print-based collection into a modern academic information center, integrating digital resources, electronic journals, and online databases to meet the changing needs of higher education. Through continuous improvement and adoption of emerging technologies, the GLUK Library remains responsive to the dynamic academic environment. Today, the GLUK Library stands as a vital knowledge hub, dedicated to supporting teaching, learning, innovation, and lifelong learning within the university community and beyond.
